School Safety Drills

We held a "Hold in Place" drill on Wednesday, August 30 and "Secure Building" and ALICE drills on September 1. Bus evacuation drills were on September 5 and a "Shelter in Place" (tornado) drill was held on September 6.

During the "Hold in Place" drill, we practiced what to do if there is a low level incident, such as an individual medical situation, in the building. Please see the letter from Mr. Mane for more information about this drill.

During the "Secure Building" drill, we practiced what to do if there is a low-level incident taking place outside the building. During the ALICE drill, we practiced what to do to stay safe if there is a high-level incident inside our outside the building. For more information about these drill's please see Mr. Mane's September 1 letter.

During bus evacuation drills, we practice how to safely exit a school bus in the case of an emergency. See Mr. Mane's Bus Evacuation Letter for more information.

A "Shelter in Place" (tornado) drill helps us know what to do in the event of a tornado warning. Please see the Shelter in Place letter for more information about this drill.

These drills are important for keeping all CSK Eagles safe in the case of an actual emergency.

We will continue to conduct safety drills, including fire drills and tornado drills, throughout the school year.
