CSK participates in the
International Day of Peace annually. The United Nations chose "Climate Action for Peace"
as the theme for this year's Day of Peace. Students at CSK listened to stories about making the environment on Earth more peaceful for all the living things that inhabit our beautiful planet. They listened to peaceful music and meditated or spent time learning outdoors. Teachers introduced students to other young people who are working to make a difference for our planet. They created artwork that reflected what peace means to them. Finally, students and staff gathered on the lawn to create an aerial photo that reflected this year's theme.
Students and families are encouraged to extend this day's activities at home or in the community. They can take a variety of actions to effect positive changes for the Earth.
